Senior Full Stack Engineer, Horizon

Overview

The ideal candidate is local to and interested in working from any of our offices (Silver Spring, NYC, SF, Miami, Denver) local to them 1-2x per week.

We’re a small but high-impact team where engineers are empowered to work closely with Product and Design to craft features that help our users achieve financial prosperity. Engineers on the team care deeply about implementing elegant solutions that are easy to understand for both the user and fellow engineers who you work with on problems.

• Work in a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, designers, and data to implement full stack user facing features on at the core of Rocket Money
• Develop with Type Script across the stack, building user interfaces using React[-Native] and the backend support required to power them with Node.js, Graph
  
  QL, and PostgreSQL
• Own complex features end-to-end, from initial product & technical design stages through to production, ensuring the appropriate engineering rigor has been applied for scalability, reliability, and observability
• Help to maintain our high technical bar, participating in code reviews and design discussions to ensure that we're applying appropriate rigor to our software development process
• Support a collaborative and innovative culture by sharing your ideas via RFCs, participating in solution ideation, and giving your peers evaluating feedback on their code and their proposals

• You have 5+ years of professional experience working with some combination of Node.js/Type Script, React (or similar framework), and Postgres (or similar relational database). (Experience with Graph
  
  QL is a plus.)

• You have a collaborator’s mindset and dig deep to understand nuanced and multi-faceted problems and tenaciously break them down into tractable pieces. You love giving and receiving feedback, and considering new and novel ideas.

Additional Information:
Salary range of $150,000 - $185,000/year + bonus + benefits. B ase pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
