Robotics is moving from research labs into production across factories, warehouses, vehicles, and field deployments. When robots fail, behave unexpectedly, or need to be improved, engineers rely on data to understand what actually happened.
At Foxglove, we build the observability, visualization, and data infrastructure that makes that possible. Our tools are used by robotics and autonomous systems teams to ingest, store, query, replay, and analyze massive volumes of multimodal sensor data from live systems and from production fleets.
About the RoleWe’re looking for a strong fullstack app foundation engineer to help design, build, and scale the tools that power the next generation of robotics development.
In this role, you’ll own the overall application structure, including sign in, navigation, the component system, build and packaging, analytics, and error reporting, to guide application consistency across various feature teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and evolve the core frontend application structure, including authentication, navigation flows, and the shared component system.
Own and maintain the application’s build and packaging pipeline, along with common infrastructure such as analytics and error reporting.
Contribute across the software stack and help define consistent patterns and tooling used by application feature teams.
Work closely with Product and Growth partners to support onboarding and other cross-cutting application needs.
Take initiative across teams and features to improve app consistency, developer experience, and overall application quality.
Experience contributing across the software stack, with a focus on frontend development and modern frameworks such as React.
Familiarity with frontend tooling, build systems, and application architecture.
Experience working with REST APIs, both as a client-side consumer and as a backend author.
A product-minded engineer with strong customer empathy.
Comfortable building, testing, and debugging software on macOS, Linux, and Windows.
Clear communicator who is proactive about collaboration and being present in a remote-first team.
Excitement about robotics, automation, and the impact they can have on society.
