Founding Senior iOS Software Engineer

We are seeking a Founding Senior iOS Software Engineer to help scale and evolve our flagship iOS application as usage grows rapidly. You will work closely with cross-functional partners on the product and design teams to build highly performant, intuitive experiences for millions of users while improving app architecture and scalability. This role is ideal for engineers who thrive in fast-moving, startup environments and want to contribute both to product and technical strategy.

• Architect, design, and implement high-quality features within the iOS application using Swift and modern frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, backend, and QA to deliver performant and delightful user experiences that scale with a growing user base.
• Own decisions that affect scalability, reliability, performance, and modularity of mobile architecture.
• Mentor and coach mid-level engineers, helping raise the bar on technical quality.
• Participate in planning and roadmap discussions, influencing technical strategy.
• Stay abreast of iOS platforms, trends, and frameworks to evolve the tech stack proactively.

• 5+ years of professional experience building and shipping consumer-facing iOS applications in Swift.
• Strong expertise in Swift and Swift
  
  UI/UIKit ecosystem and modern iOS architectural patterns.
• Proven experience writing maintainable, testable, scalable code.
• Background contributing to app scalability on mobile platforms and optimizing performance under real-world usage.
• Comfortable driving technical initiatives and collaborating within cross-disciplinary teams.
• Experience at a rapidly growing startup or high-growth environment where shipping quickly and iterating is critical.

• Degree from a top-25 university or equivalent elite academic background in Computer Science or related field. (Targeting candidates with strong academic foundations + real-world coding proficiency)
• Previous scaling experience at a consumer or B2C startup environment that grew significantly in user base or revenue.
• Experience with video, multimedia frameworks, or performance-critical features on mobile.
• Experience with hybrid or blended work environments.
