Research Engineer, Neural Rendering

You will be a Research Engineer in Neural Rendering, creating next‑generation multi‑sensor rendering systems for autonomous driving. You will collaborate with world‑renowned scientists and engineers to build innovative, practical and scalable rendering and content creation solutions.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary research team to build a best‑in‑class multi‑sensor simulation stack.
• Use cutting‑edge reconstruction, neural rendering and generative AI to build large‑scale, efficient digital twins from real‑world camera, LiDAR and RADAR data.
• Ship next‑generation simulation software mixing traditional real‑time rendering with NeRF, 3D Gaussian Splatting, diffusion models and more.
• Work with autonomy and safety teams to improve the realism and diversity of Waabi World.
• Contribute to high‑impact research papers submitted to top conferences and journals (CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, SIGGRAPH, NeurIPS, ICLR, ICRA, RA‑L).

• Shipping Production Software – Experience building production‑quality software, working with large ML datasets.
• Deep understanding of ML or neural rendering – Familiar with diffusion models, vision foundation models or NeRF/3
  
  DGS internals and trade‑offs.
• Cloud Machine Learning – Designing, launching and debugging GPU ML jobs in the cloud (PyTorch, Tensor Flow).
• Strong software engineering fundamentals – Efficient, maintainable code in Python, PyTorch, and at least one native systems language (C++ or Rust).

The US yearly salary range is $134,000 – $235,000 USD and the Canada range is $171,000 – $270,000 CAD, plus competitive equity awards, discretionary bonuses and benefits.
