AI Product Engineer | Founding Team Equity

Location: San Francisco (5 days p/w in office)

We’re partnering with a well-funded, high-growth AI startup building a category-defining product at the intersection of software automation, intelligence, and workflow transformation. Backed by top-tier investors, the company is already seeing strong traction and is now hiring a Full-stack Product Engineer with experience building AI powered applications to help shape the next phase of product development.

This is a true high-ownership opportunity for someone who wants to operate as a founding-level engineer - shipping quickly, working directly with leadership, and building AI-native product experiences from the ground up.

• Designing and shipping core product features end-to-end across backend, APIs, and AI workflows
• Building AI-native user experiences using LLMs, agents, orchestration frameworks, and modern product infrastructure
• Working closely with founders, product, and design to turn ambiguous ideas into shipped product
• Owning architecture decisions and helping shape engineering best practices as the team scales
• Rapid experimentation, iteration, and deployment in a fast-moving product environment
• Helping define what “great” engineering looks like in an AI-first company

• Strong software engineering fundamentals with experience building production products
• Proven ability to ship quickly in startup or high-velocity environments
• Experience with modern backend engineering (Python, Type Script, Go, or similar)
• Hands-on exposure to AI/LLM products, agentic workflows, inference pipelines, or applied ML products (Lang Graph, Lang Chain, CrewAI)
• Product-minded engineer who enjoys solving user problems, not just writing code
• Comfortable operating with ambiguity and high autonomy
• Strong communication and ownership mentality

• Experience building internal tools, workflow automation, or AI copilots
• Background at high-growth startups or founding/early engineering teams
• Experience with retrieval systems, prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, or model integrations
• Exposure to scalable infrastructure / cloud-native systems
