Software Engineer - Infrastructure
As a Software Engineer on the Infrastructure team, you will be an early contributor to the growing team to support a rapidly expanding fleet of satellites.
Responsibilities- Maintain and streamline a CI pipeline integrating with a mix of real and simulated hardware
- Introduce and optimize build tools and workflows to accelerate development
- Automate release, deployment, and monitoring tooling for development and production systems
- Implement and own the proliferation of metrics and performance tracking in development, CI, production, and mission contexts
- Lead initiatives that improve developer productivity and developer experience
- 2+ years experience in Infrastructure and Dev Ops engineering
- Bachelor of Science in a related discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Information Technology)
- Proficiency with Python or other scripting language
- Experience with scaling build systems such as, but not limited to:
Bazel, CMake, or Pants - Strong Experience with Linux
- Experience working with CI tools such as Gitlab, Github, Jenkins, Tekton or others
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Highly motivated, self-starting, and able to perform duties autonomously without much supervision
- Bazel build system
- Code coverage reporting
- AI tooling for developers
- Remote development environments
- Flaky test management and infrastructure

Base pay is just one component of Astranis's total rewards package. Astranis pay ranges are informed and defined through professional-grade salary surveys and compensation data sources. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, and the level and scope of the position.
Base Salary
$120,000 — $170,000 USD
