Overview
Senior Manager – Hyperforce Runtime Platform – Test Infrastructure Automation and Management team. The role plans and directs the building, support and growth of Test Infrastructure Automation Services for GCP, enhancing developer productivity through AI.
Responsibilities- Empower the delivery team to self‑prioritize, act as a multiplier and mentor team members.
- Maintain high morale and motivate the delivery team; advocate for technical excellence and help teams make good decisions during architecture discussions and planning.
- Maintain and encourage company culture by interviewing and hiring qualified individuals; occasionally contribute to development tasks such as coding and feature verification to support release commitments and sharpen technical competence.
- 10+ years of industry experience, with 3+ years in a people‑leadership role managing software engineering teams.
- Expertise in Infrastructure Management services in the Kubernetes ecosystem, hands‑on knowledge of Service Mesh architecture and networking fundamentals.
- Working knowledge of Release Management concepts and cloud‑based CI/CD tools such as Spinnaker and Git Lab.
- Proven ability to manage stakeholders and relationships within a highly matrixed organization.
- Proficiency in software development methodologies, technologies, and tools, and a proven track record of leading and delivering large‑scale initiatives with cross‑functional teams.
- Strong experience with public cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS or Azure.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure and automation.
- Passion for service ownership, building reliable, self‑healing services.
- Experience working in a complex team environment, delivering under pressure and within dependency constraints.
- Experience with Scrum or other agile development methodologies, with a strong focus on code quality and secure code.
- Good programming background, ideally with Python and AI automation tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
- Proven ability to navigate team dynamics, resolve conflicts and facilitate career development discussions.
- Minimum Education:
Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, and two years of experience; or Bachelor’s degree and five years of progressively responsible experience.
- Salary range $172,500 – $260,100 annually; in select cities exceeding this range.
