On a day-to-day basis, as an engineering (Eng Team) member, you’ll be a part of a dynamic, close-knit group of engineers, working in various cross-functional capacities, directly involved in the scoping and planning of our new frontend platform (VueJS / Java Spring MVC). All engineering team members work closely with Product Management to suss out product and project requirements. As a core member of the Eng Team, you’ll also directly participate with the team as a whole in developing the strategy and planning of technology both current and future.

Specifically as a Frontend Applications Engineer, your duties will encompass all customer-facing artifacts from coding SPAs to even providing critical frontend-specific capabilities on our presentation engine. AI integration sits at the center of that work; you'll connect our application to agent-based systems and the in-house business-logic layer that powers them, designing the user experiences where AI meets our customers, prompt UIs, agent-driven workflows, streaming responses, tool‑calling affordances, and the guardrails that make them production‑ready.

This role is closely tied to the product development function, so you’ll be expected to interact closely with Product Management, QA, and other teams to ship integrations that feel seamless and trustworthy. You’re comfortable building software end-to-end, from ideation through full implementation.

• Build and evolve our Nuxt/Vue application from ideation to production
• Design and implement integrations with agent‑based AI systems and our business‑logic layer
• Develop frontend‑specific capabilities on our presentation engine
• Write thorough unit tests and maintain strong code coverage
• Document architecture and technical design decisions
• Partner with Product, Engineering, QA, and our AI Architect on AI‑driven features across the platform
• Participate in code reviews and help raise the engineering bar across the team

• 3‑5 years proven experience building frontend applications for the enterprise, developing on a multi‑tenant architecture and infrastructure.
• Familiarity with various frontend technologies and architectural patterns, such as SPA and MVC.
• Experience and familiarity with REST and/or Graph

• Strong fundamentals in HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript (ES6+), with working Type Script familiarity.
• Experience with MV
  * frameworks such as Vue, Nuxt (React/React Native experience also valued).
• Working knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Direct experience with event‑driven programming.
• Software Engineering best‑practices.
• Experience with Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence).
• Experience working in an Agile methodology such as Scrum, XP, or FAST.
• Strong written and verbal communication, including the ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.
• Basic understanding of networking and protocols such as HTTP, FTP, SMS.

• Hands‑on experience integrating with LLMs, AI tools, or agent frameworks (strong preference).
• Experience working and setting up a NodeJS environment.
• Technical design and architectural modeling with UML and other software design tools.
• Familiarity with Domain‑Driven Design.
• Familiarity with the application of Software Design Patterns.
• Experience in working in a startup environment.

This is a contract‑to‑hire opportunity. The expected compensation range for this role is $130,000 - $150,000 annually, commensurate with experience, with a clear pathway to full‑time employment.
