QualificationsAt least 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer, web developer, or a similar role
Hands‑on experience with Node.js and meaningful exposure to one or more modern server runtimes such as Bun, Deno, or Cloudflare Workers — with a solid understanding of how they differ in module systems, APIs, performance characteristics, and deployment models
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
You're based in San Francisco (Bay Area) or are excited about the prospect of relocating to this thriving tech hub
Experience working with Winter
CG, the Web‑interoperable Runtimes Community Group, or other runtime interoperability initiatives
Familiarity with Open Telemetry instrumentation in server‑side or edge environments
A history of contributing to or maintaining open‑source libraries
Experience engaging with open‑source committees or working groups

The base salary range (or hourly wage range, if applicable) that Sentry reasonably expects to pay for this position is $190,000 to $280,000. A successful candidate’s actual base salary (or hourly wage) amount will be determined by a variety of relevant factors including, without limitation, the candidate’s work location, education, work and other relevant experience, skills, and job‑related knowledge. A successful candidate will be eligible to participate in Sentry’s employee benefit plans/programs applicable to the candidate’s position (including incentive compensation, equity grants, paid time off, and group health insurance coverage).
