Deepnight is creating the best low light camera in the world by embedding an AI model into it. Our model processes the camera’s extremely limited signal with an edge AI chip, and can handle light levels as dark as overcast moonless starlight (0.1 millilux), which is as dark as it can possibly be while on the exposed surface of the earth.
The camera is one cubic inch, and we have optimized our model for mobile constraints - working at 90 FPS and consuming only 1 watt. We are making all robots, drones, autonomous vehicles, and head-mounted displays able to perform in total darkness.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced embedded engineer to join our rapidly growing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and optimizing software for embedded systems, with a strong focus on software bringups for custom imaging sensors, displays and other related peripherals into existing SOC/SOM packages.
Responsibilities- Develop, port, and optimize Linux device drivers for various peripherals and sensors.
- Modify existing Android Board Support Packages (BSP) to enable custom drivers and hardware peripherals.
- Collaborate closely with hardware, test, and product teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
- Debug and troubleshoot complex embedded system issues across hardware and software.
- Document designs, implementations, and testing procedures.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with Device Tree syntax and layouts.
- Experience with Linux Kernel drivers
- Custom Android hardware bringup experience
