Senior Manager, Software Engineering - Agent Authoring
We build the visual canvas editor, simulation and debugging tooling, developer experience layer, and an AI coding assistant that generates agents from natural language. Our work includes the development of Agent Script — an open‑source language that lets builders blend deterministic control with AI reasoning, so agents are both intelligent and predictable.
What You'll Do- Lead teams of 6-10 engineers building the next generation of Agentforce's authoring platform
- Partner with Product, Design, and platform engineering to define product strategy and roadmap for the agent creation experience
- Set technical direction for complex software systems and elevate the team's execution through ambiguity and rapid iteration
- Uphold high standards for engineering craftsmanship through design reviews, technical mentorship, and a culture of continuous improvement
- Foster a culture of experimentation with coding agents and AI‑assisted workflows to enhance the team's productivity and innovation
- 5+ years managing engineering teams, including experience leading multiple teams or managing managers
- Deep technical background in full‑stack product engineering, with an eye for both system design and user experience
- Experience collaborating across product, design, and engineering functions to ship enterprise software
- Ability to hire, mentor, and retain exceptional engineering talent while fostering a team culture of ownership and craft
- Track record of strong execution with a willingness to dive into the details when it matters
The typical base salary range for this position is $172,500 - $260,100 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range for this role is $207,800 - $285,800 annually. The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
