In the past year, our engineering and data science team grew from 40 to 100+ team members and we rolled out infrastructure updates, new products, and updates to existing workflows — combining data, ML, frontend and backend work. The next 12 months are very exciting for us; we expect the technical team to double as we deliver on a roadmap to handle 10× our current volume and build new products.

As a Software Engineer on our New Products team, you’ll be responsible for helping build and launch brand new products that directly impact our customers' workflows — which in turn has the opportunity to impact millions of lives in the personal injury space.

This is a hybrid role with the expectation of working at least 3 days a week from our downtown San Francisco hub.

• 5-10+ years of experience with backend or frontend engineering, working with relational databases and/or other database technologies — we’re hiring frontend, backend, and full‑stack engineers for this team!
• Have several years of industry experience building high‑quality software, shipping production‑ready code and infrastructure.
• Ability to communicate technical ideas or issues in easy‑to‑understand and actionable terms.
• Learn quickly and are seeking opportunities to work cross‑functionally (including data engineering & Dev Ops) and with a diverse group of people.
• Experience owning a project from start to finish and loves to drive a project across the finish line.
• Demonstrated success in mentoring and uplifting teammates.
• Engineering excellence — you’ve helped build what “great” looks like at scale (both product and team culture).
• Kubernetes experience is a plus!
