• Drive AI transformation at scale – Lead the adoption of AI‑assisted software development across the full engineering lifecycle, helping shape the future of regulated SaaS delivery

• You’ll sit on the Executive Leadership Team, reporting directly to the CEO, with full ownership of engineering strategy, delivery performance, platform architecture, operational reliability, and engineering culture.
• This is a highly strategic and hands‑on executive leadership role where you’ll balance long‑term technical vision with operational execution — helping scale a multi‑product SaaS platform while modernising engineering through AI‑assisted development, cloud‑native architecture, and automation‑first practices.
• You’ll work cross‑functionally with Product, Operations, Customers, Board stakeholders, and external partners to ensure the platform remains secure, scalable, compliant, and positioned for continued market leadership within the SMB clinical trials space.

• Leading Engineering, QA, IT Operations, and Deployment teams across a distributed global organisation
• Driving adoption of AI‑assisted development tooling and AI‑enabled SDLC practices across the engineering function
• Owning cloud‑native architecture strategy across a scalable multi‑tenant SaaS platform
• Building highly reliable, secure, and compliant systems aligned to HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001/27701, GDPR, and GxP standards
• Overseeing release engineering, uptime, incident response, and deployment integrity across the platform
• Partnering closely with Product leadership to balance roadmap priorities, technical investment, and delivery outcomes
• Translating engineering metrics, delivery performance, and operational data into executive‑level business insights
• Leading engineering budget planning, cloud cost optimisation, vendor management, and long‑range resourcing strategy
• Supporting technical due diligence for investment activity, strategic partnerships, and acquisition opportunities
• Building and developing high‑performing engineering leaders, senior managers, and principal‑level ICs

• Proven executive engineering leadership experience within high‑growth SaaS or cloud software environments
• Strong background leading large‑scale engineering organisations across software engineering, QA, infrastructure, and operations
• Hands‑on experience implementing AI‑assisted development practices and modern engineering automation strategies
• Deep expertise with cloud‑native architecture and distributed systems (AWS preferred)
• Strong understanding of secure software delivery within highly regulated environments including HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR
• Experience managing multi‑tenant SaaS platforms with a focus on scalability, reliability, and operational excellence
• Track record of leading both engineering leadership teams and senior/principal‑level ICs simultaneously
• Strong commercial awareness with experience managing vendors, offshore teams, cloud spend, and technical contracts
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience working alongside executive leadership teams, customers, investors, and boards
• Experience with in life sciences, healthcare technology, clinical trials, or regulated software environments is highly advantageous

This role is fully remote within the US, with occasional domestic and international travel for customer engagements, leadership meetings, and industry events.
