AI Engineer - San Francisco

Our platform is an essential part of an AI builder’s daily work, serving research labs like OpenAI, MetaAI, MistralAI, and Character.ai, as well as large enterprise teams such as NVIDIA, Salesforce, Genentech, Cisco, Fidelity, Samsung, Walmart, and more.

• Actively engage with the developer community in San Francisco by organizing and attending GenAI-focused events and hackathons.
• Develop both internal and external GenAI-powered tools to demonstrate the capabilities of Weave.
• Create compelling GenAI blog posts and code examples to highlight Weave’s potential to a global audience.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of our open-source Weave integrations.
• Help build and maintain our open source Weave integrations.
• Engage with the developer community on social media and discord.
• Collaborate closely with our Product team, providing feedback and testing new Weave features.

• Located in the San Francisco Bay Area
• 3+ years of industry experience in software engineering or machine learning engineering in a production environment
• Experience building GenAI-powered tools for industry use or as personal side projects.
• Proven track record of writing blog posts and/ or social media threads that explore and push the limits of LLM systems, ideally with Git Hub code examples.
• A curious and open mindset, with a willingness to experiment, learn, and iterate quickly.
• High agency and the ability to work autonomously in the dynamic environment of a fast-growing startup.
• A proactive, kind, and collaborative mindset

• 5+ years of industry experience
• Experience pre-training / fine-tuning LLMs at the 1b+ scale or training / fine-tuning multi-modal models like stable diffusion etc.
• Experience working in a developer tools company
• Have attended 3+ San Francisco hackathons in the past 12 months
