At Adobe, we’re driving our reinvention as an AI company and betting on Generative AI! Last year, we have released many Generative AI capabilities under the Firefly umbrella – features used by more than 50% Photoshop users and generating 5B+ images, while doing AI responsibly and transparently!
We’re looking for an outstanding senior ML leader to drive and lead the development, planning and delivery of GPU optimized, efficient model pipelines for new Firefly features serving a variety of modalities like images, vectors, 3D, etc.
You’ll lead a distributed team of experts (US, India, Romania), supervising the efficient operation of high‑traffic cloud services and GPU workloads. Your role demands quick execution and scaling of existing processes.

This is a one in a kind role for an AI leader who will play a vital role in Adobe’s AI advancement.
What You’ll Do- Engage with Applied Research (and Research) groups and product teams like Photoshop, Digital Video//Audio, Express, and others to build an ambitious roadmap and plan to deliver end‑to‑end ML services that will power innovative new features in our flagship applications
- Partner with various platform teams to leverage existing inference systems or define new required enhancements to support new modalities (video, streaming, etc)
- Lead planning and delivery of GPU optimized, efficient model pipelines for new Firefly features serving a variety of modalities like images, vectors, 3D, etc.
- Grow and scale the process and global teams with a goal to increase the velocity of AI feature capability manifold.
- Ensure the delivery of a scalable, reliable AI cloud service with observability, logging and tracing to enable quick detection, understanding and resolution of run‑time issues
- A minimum of twelve years of industry experience, including at least five years of ML engineering leadership.
- A deep understanding of AI/ML, including ML frameworks, public cloud and commercial AI/ML solutions – familiarity with Pytorch, Sage Maker, Hugging Face is required.
- Experience running AI services in the cloud.
- Image Processing, Computer Vision, Generative AI experience is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge about creation and optimization as well as operation of GPU intensive ML workloads in production environments.
- Understanding of model serving, orchestration, scaling and GPU resource management.
- A track record of attracting talent and leading multiple high‑performance teams to deliver results in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment of AI infrastructure.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills – building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data‑driven decisions.
- A passion for staying up to date with the latest trends and technologies in AI/ML – in the cloud and on device.
- A Bachelor’s, Master’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Vision, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $183,200 – $403,000 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short‑term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non‑sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short‑term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long‑term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
