Member of Technical Staff – Full-Stack AI/Software Engineer

Full‑Time. Salary: $150,000 – $300,000 + Competitive Equity.

About the opportunity:
We are looking for a Member of Technical Staff with 2+ years of experience to join an early‑stage AI company backed by First Round Capital. The role requires a high‑ownership engineer to build AI that autonomously operates factories. The platform is already deployed at a precision aerospace manufacturer supplying SpaceX and Blue Origin, and your work will have immediate, visible impact on real factory operations from day one.

• Own and ship entire customer‑facing features from ideation through deployment.
• Build and extend AI agent orchestration systems that optimize factory scheduling and drive indirect labor costs toward zero.
• Work with a unified data layer connecting legacy factory systems (ERPs, MES, PLCs) into real‑time operational intelligence.
• Apply context engineering, reinforcement learning techniques, and small model training in production environments.
• Collaborate directly with customers and deploy features that impact factory throughput and profitability.

• 2–8 years of full‑stack software engineering experience building production systems.
• Experience at high‑intensity technical companies (Tesla, Neuralink, SpaceX, Palantir, or similar) or ex‑founder/early‑stage startup background.
• Hands‑on experience building AI agents, LLM tooling, or model deployment in production.
• Strong systems‑level programming ability (C, C++, Rust, or equivalent).
• CS, EE, or Operations Research degree from a strong technical program.

• Must be based in San Francisco (preferred) or New York City.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (green card holder) due to ITAR requirements.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.
