You will be a part of our first engineering internship class and will help us forge a performant and reliable path forward to Notion's future.

This internship will take place from Sept 14 - Dec 4 and you will need to be able to work out of our SF office during this time.

• Write clean, secure, tested, and documented code.
• Design & enhance the Notion product with new capabilities with an AI first mindset.
• Develop, fix and debug software across our full stack: web services, databases, applications, tools while leveraging modern frameworks and tooling.

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or another related field. Must graduate before Summer 2027.
• Previous internship experience.
• Working towards a proficiency of one or more programming languages such as Typescript, Node.js, or Python.
• Enjoy discovering problems as much as solving them.
• Can problem‑solve and adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
• This internship will take place from September 14 - December 4 and you will need to be able to work out of our SF office during this time.

• AI enthusiast: built or prototyped features with AI technologies (LLMs, Embeddings, ML) and interested in learning more.
• Thoughtful problem‑solving: can decompose tricky problems and work toward a clean solution, alone or with teammates.
• Put users first: think critically about the implications of what you're building and how it shapes real people’s lives.
• Not ideological about technology: see programming languages as trade‑offs and can learn new technologies.
• Empathetic communication: explain technical decisions clearly and engage thoughtfully with other perspectives.
• Team player: enjoy collaborating cross‑functionally to accomplish shared goals.

• Expertise with specific technologies that are part of our stack, including Typescript, React, Python.
• Knowledge of computing pioneers such as Ada Lovelace, Douglas Engelbart, Alan Kay, and others.
• Interests outside of technology, such as in art, history, or social sciences.

Notion is committed to providing highly competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. For roles based in San Francisco, the estimated hourly range for this role is $57/hr for Bachelor’s and $61/hr for Master’s.
