The Role
We're expanding our backend engineering team in Latin America to build the infrastructure behind Nexus's Layer 1 and its native DEX. We're hiring Backend Engineers at multiple levels — from junior to senior — so if you build reliable, high-performance systems and care about the intersection of finance and decentralized infrastructure, we want to hear from you.

You'll collaborate with protocol, product, and frontend teams in San Francisco while contributing remotely from Latam

What You'll Do

• Design and build backend services in Node.js and Rust for Nexus's Layer 1 and DEX.

• Develop APIs and data pipelines for trading, liquidity, and on-chain verification.

• Build and maintain blockchain infrastructure components (RPC endpoints, explorers, dev tools).

• Write clean, well-tested, production-grade code that supports verifiable financial applications.

• Contribute to architecture discussions and technical decisions based on your level of experience.

What We're Looking For

• Experience building backend systems in a production environment.

• Proficiency in one or more of:
  Node.js, Rust, Go, or Python.

• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or similar) and API design.

• A track record of shipping reliable software and improving the systems you work on.

• Excellent communication skills in Business English (spoken & written).

Levels We're Hiring

• Junior 1–3 years
  - Solid foundations, eagerness to grow, guided ownership

• Mid 3–5 years
  - Independent execution, production-grade delivery

• Senior 5+ years
  - System design leadership, cross-team impact, mentorship

Bonus Points For

• Experience in financial systems (exchanges, payments, clearing, or settlement).

• Familiarity with blockchain architectures, smart contracts, or consensus protocols.

• Dev Ops experience (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS).

• Web3 or DeFi protocol development experience.

• Build the backend systems powering the Layer 1 for Verifiable Finance.

• Collaborate with experts across blockchain, AI, and financial infrastructure.

• Shape the foundation for a verifiable, transparent, global trading system.
