Collate is an end‑to‑end solution that powers every step of drug, diagnostic, and medical device development—from concept to market.

We’re looking for a Frontend Software Engineer to shape how users experience Collate. Your work will translate cutting‑edge AI into tools that feel simple, reliable, and human—especially in the complex world of healthcare. From day one, you’ll influence product experiences that doctors, patients, and researchers depend on.

Collate uses modern Type Script, React, and Tailwind CSS for frontend development, with Next.js for progressive rendering on the server and client. Backend services are written in Python and Go.

• Build responsive, performant web applications that simplify complex AI‑driven healthcare data.
• Collaborate closely with design, product, and backend engineers to move ideas from concept to production, owning testing, releases, and post‑launch monitoring.
• Create reusable components and frontend infrastructure that scales with the team and product.
• Focus on interaction detail, accessibility, and performance to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Shape the look, feel, and usability of Collate’s products during a formative stage of the company’s journey.
• Partner with backend and ML teams to integrate APIs and models into smooth, information‑rich interfaces for customers.

• Strong experience building modern web applications with React, Type Script, or similar frameworks. Next.js and Tailwind experience is a plus.
• A deep care for design, usability, and accessibility—viewing frontend engineering as product design.
• The ability to translate complex, technical concepts into simple, intuitive user experiences.
• Comfort working across the stack when needed, with a passion for owning the frontend experience.
• A track record of shipping high‑quality features quickly while maintaining technical rigor in complex systems.

The base salary range for this role is $150,000-$350,000 USD annually, depending on experience and level (Tier 1, San Francisco).
