Senior Software Engineer

Help lead a team of engineers to design, ship, and maintain user-facing and backend product features across the Pickaxe platform.

We are looking for someone who can start quickly and ship high-impact product work from day one.

An experienced engineer with a strategic mindset who can help build a product's direction based on your understanding of AI trends and software development. You are prepared to guide a team of engineers to execute towards those goals.

As a Senior Engineer at Pickaxe, you will design and build product features using React, tRPC, Next.js, Type Script, and Python. You will collaborate with the leadership team and manage the product and engineering group to deliver performant experiences, maintain quality, and unblock growth.

• 6+ years of experience in big tech or a senior leadership role for a startup
• Strong proficiency in React and Next.js
• Experience with Python backend development (Flask or similar)
• Comfort with modern frontend tooling and build pipelines
• Strong independent problem‑solving skills
• Able to collaborate and lead in a fast‑paced, remote‑friendly team
• Excited about building with generative AI
• Starting annual salary range between $200,000 and $220,000
