Founding Software Engineer

Cromatic is building highly specialized, data-powered Rev Ops AI agents for technical industries (think life sciences, manufacturing, hardware, etc).

Our agents combine deep domain intelligence with commercial execution, operating like hiring a business development professional with PhD-level expertise alongside the relationship instincts of an experienced enterprise sales team.

Built on industry-specific datasets and workflows, Cromatic agents automate complex business development operations, sustain outbound momentum, and engage accounts with technical accuracy and contextual relevance. They understand not only the science and market landscape, but also the nuances of timing, stakeholder management, and long-term relationship building that drive successful partnerships.

Rather than replacing human teams, Cromatic enables them to spend less time on repetitive operational work and more time focused on strategic conversations, trust-building, and closing high-value opportunities.

The Role

• Ship full-stack features from database to UI. You ll own entire parts of the product.
• Build AI features that actually work - not just demos. Think LLM pipelines, embeddings, and smart data processing.
• Handle real-time data from multiple sources. Make it fast, make it reliable, make it useful.
• Talk to customers, understand their problems, and build solutions that make their day better.
• Work on whatever needs doing. Small team = you ll touch everything.

• 2+ years of work experience in a high growth tech company
• You are AI-enabled and can clone your productivity with AI tools.
• Experience in full stack software development, with emphasis on using NodeJS, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, React, Typescript, and Tailwind CSS.
• Strong understanding of ML concepts (LLMs, model training, fine tuning, embeddings, etc).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary, cross-functional team.
