Infrastructure-as--Service Engineer

Overview

Fluid Stack is building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI, acquiring power, designing and operating data centers globally. This Infrastructure-as-a-Service Engineer role focuses on building the IaaS layer for GPU fleets, automating bare-metal workflows, and operating compute infrastructure at unprecedented scale.

• Build the IaaS layer including provisioning automation, tenant isolation, and lifecycle management for GPU fleets
• Automate bare-metal workflows end to end: image, boot, configure, validate, and handover
• Debug across compute, network, and storage when tenant workloads misbehave
• Write software that removes operational toil by converting manual runbooks into automated solutions
• Operate infrastructure at nation-scale, managing live sites during ongoing construction and expansion

• Production experience building infrastructure automation in Go or Python against real systems
• Hands-on experience with bare-metal provisioning tooling
• Deep Linux debugging skills including kernel, drivers, and networking
• Ability to treat operational pain as a software bug and fix it systematically
• Experience managing large-scale distributed systems and GPU compute infrastructure

• IPMI and Redfish experience
• Storage systems expertise
