• Managing a team of passionate engineers, including recruitment.
• Owning service responsibilities, building self‑healing services.
• Working in a complex team environment, delivering under pressure and dependency constraints.
• Building large‑scale distributed systems, especially in cloud environments.
• Familiar with public cloud services (AWS and Google Cloud Platform).
• Possessing good knowledge of network technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, TLS termination, HTTP proxies, etc.
• Applying Scrum or other agile development methodologies, focusing on code quality and secure code delivery.
• Balancing live‑site management, feature delivery, and retirement of technical debt.
• Designing, developing, debugging, and operating resilient distributed systems across thousands of compute nodes in multiple datacenters.
• Driving and delivering thin slices of end‑to‑end functionality on a regular cadence with data‑driven feedback loops.

• 9+ years of experience, with at least 4 years in management.
• Experience with Golang, Java, and/or C++ in a Linux/UNIX data center environment.
• Live site/production service ownership.
• Distributed system design expertise.
• Ownership of multiple instances of a mission‑critical service.
• Agile development methodology and Test‑Driven Development experience.
• Use of telemetry and metrics to drive operational excellence.

• Experience with Networking – TCP, TLS, DNS.
