Thinking Machines Lab in San Francisco is seeking an infrastructure research engineer to design, optimize, and maintain the compute foundations powering large‑scale language model training. You will develop high‑performance ML kernels (CUDA, CuTe, Triton) and improve the distributed compute stack to enable efficient training of giant models.
You will collaborate with research teams, build reusable kernel libraries, and promote reproducibility and scalability across precision formats.
