The Opportunity:

We're seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to lead customer implementations and build production-grade data solutions for enterprise organizations. This is a highly technical, customer-facing role that combines data engineering, analytics engineering, and technical consulting.

You'll partner directly with customers, Account Executives, Product, and Engineering to scope solutions, build scalable data pipelines, and ensure successful deployments. If you enjoy writing production code, solving real-world data problems, and working directly with customers, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do:

• Lead end-to-end customer deployments from discovery through production launch.
• Partner directly with enterprise customers to understand business requirements and design scalable data solutions.
• Build, maintain, and optimize production data pipelines.
• Model and transform complex datasets from CRM platforms, web and mobile events, marketing systems, and production databases.
• Develop SQL transformations using dbt or SQLMesh.
• Build and maintain workflow orchestration using tools including Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, or similar platforms.
• Scope and execute customer pilots, proofs of concept, and technical demonstrations.
• Write clean, production-quality code to solve customer-specific challenges.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to influence product development based on customer feedback.
• Troubleshoot deployment issues and ensure customer success throughout implementation.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience leading end-to-end technical deployments for external enterprise customers.
• Experience working at a startup or high-growth technology company.
• Experience working directly with enterprise customers in a customer-facing technical role.
• Experience scoping and delivering pilots, proofs of concept, or technical demonstrations.

Technical Skills

• Advanced SQL skills.
• Experience with dbt or SQLMesh.
• Strong understanding of data modeling and transformation.
• Experience working with complex datasets from multiple data sources.
• Hands-on experience with workflow orchestration tools including Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, or similar technologies.
• Ability to write and deploy production-quality code.
