Forward Deployed Engineer - $160,000 - $250,000 base salary (Hybrid) About The Role

We are seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer with 2 to 5 years of experience to own the technical side of enterprise deployments and partner directly with large-scale clients. This is roughly an 80% engineering and 20% customer-facing role, blending deep technical execution with real customer impact. You will be responsible for taking agentic AI systems from initial demos to full production environments.

The ideal candidate is a high-agency operator who thrives in ambiguity, ships code rapidly, and prioritizes tangible business outcomes.

We are looking for somebody with experience within a high-growth company, or an exciting start up, and an academic background from a respected, prestigious University/College.

• Lead technical discovery, design proofs-of-concept, and run tailored demos tied directly to prospect workflows and pain points.
• Build minimum viable products (MVPs) from a client problem to a working demo in a matter of days.
• Act as the bridge between external customers and internal product/engineering teams, surfacing edge cases and shaping the roadmap.
• Travel on-site to customer locations to embed directly with their operations teams, scope integrations, and write code to unblock initiatives.
• Scope and execute pilot programs with clear success metrics and build return-on-investment (ROI) models.
• Support end-to-end onboarding processes, including data mapping, workflow configuration, and API/webhook integrations.
• Aggressively leverage AI tools, agents, and automation to multiply your engineering output.
• Feed project learnings back into the core platform to help productize one-off solutions for broader enterprise use.

Claude, Cursor, AI/LLM tooling, Agentic AI

• 2 to 5 years of full-stack software engineering experience, preferably within a high-growth B2B environment.
• Full-stack production coding ability, demonstrating you can scope and ship deployable code independently.
• A strong foundation in system architecture, APIs, and webhooks.
• Active, daily utilization of AI tools like Claude or Cursor to enhance your engineering workflow.
• Demonstrated product impact that is tied to real business outcomes, such as revenue generation or time savings.
• Genuine enthusiasm for customer-facing work and a proven track record of delivering technical solutions directly to external clients.
• High agency and a comfort level with operating in ambiguity to figure things out without a set playbook.
• Willingness to travel on-site to customer locations and embed within their operational environments.
