Founding AI Software Engineer - TypeScript & Python Equity

We are a small, high-impact team building AI agents that automate administrative workflows for mission-critical military units. Our platform is already deployed with multiple Department of Defense customers, and we are backed by more than $2.5 million from investors who were early supporters of Palantir and Hermeus. Operating as a focused seven-person company, we give every team member significant ownership and a direct line to the end users we serve.

We are seeking a Founding Engineer with three to five years of professional experience to join us in a true founding role. You will receive meaningful equity, full ownership of major parts of the product development lifecycle, and the opportunity to work side-by-side with the founders. This position suits someone who thrives in early-stage environments, ships quickly, and wants their work to deliver tangible impact on operational effectiveness for the Armed Forces.

In this role, you will own the end-to-end full-stack development of our core platform. This includes building and scaling the knowledge graph, designing agent workflows, and creating customer-facing features, all developed primarily in Type Script with supporting technologies such as Next.js and Express.

You will support customer launches and ongoing improvements by working directly with feedback from military personnel. You will translate real mission needs into reliable production code and iterate rapidly to ensure the platform delivers practical value in the field.

You will help mature our AI orchestration platform by building intuitive tools that allow customers to configure, customize, and manage their own agents and workflows. This work will empower users to adapt the system to their specific requirements with greater independence.

You will shape product direction with real autonomy. By carefully analyzing customer feedback, prioritizing features, and focusing on outcomes that drive both business results and mission impact, you will operate as a product-minded engineer who influences the roadmap and overall direction of the company.

Our technology stack includes Type Script, Next.js, Express, PostgreSQL, AWS, Kubernetes, Grafana, Loki, Keycloak, large language models, and orchestration frameworks such as Mastra.

We are looking for engineers who bring three to five years of hands-on software development experience, a proven ability to ship production software, and a genuine interest in applying AI to high-stakes defense and national security challenges. Comfort working in a small team, taking full ownership, and thriving amid ambiguity are essential.
