Product Infrastructure Engineer, Data & Agent Systems

$200k-$220k + Equity

You will own the data foundation and execution systems powering AI agents that reconcile transactions and close books. Initially focusing on critical data model migrations and schema design, you will transition into building agent infrastructure, including long-running job orchestration, sandboxed execution environments, and human-in-the-loop review flows for correctness-sensitive financial data.

• Work on "Agentic AI" that actually performs complex work—not just suggestions—transforming raw financial data into audit-ready outputs with zero margin for error.
• Directly collaborate with the founding team in a high-ownership environment where infrastructure you build is deployed to production and used by accountants weekly.

• Lead the migration from legacy data models to durable domain models while maintaining live production workflows and ensuring 100% data correctness.
• Architect orchestration systems for long-running AI agent jobs, including complex retries, checkpoints, resumability, and integrated human review flows.
• Develop tool-calling infrastructure and secure sandboxed environments that allow agents to safely interact with ERPs, banks, browsers, and document systems.

• Has 4+ years of experience building production-grade backend or data infrastructure, specifically managing complex relational database schemas and data integrity.
• Proficient in Type Script and PostgreSQL, with a proven track record of migrating live production systems without breaking existing customer workflows.
• Possesses deep experience with asynchronous systems, workflow engines (like Temporal or BullMQ), and building observability for high-stakes, multi-tenant SaaS environments.
