Caplight is building the real-time data and trading infrastructure for private markets, bringing transparency to historically opaque and illiquid assets. Based in San Francisco, Caplight provides institutional players with the pricing and tools needed to move quickly on private securities, transforming fragmented data into actionable financial intelligence.

Join Caplight’s founding team as a Full Stack Engineer to build the infrastructure powering private market trading. You will own entire product areas, from real-time pricing data surfaces to institutional-grade trading interfaces. This high-impact role requires a blend of technical depth, product instinct, and a strong design sense to create sophisticated financial tools.

• Join a high-leverage founding team in San Francisco with significant influence over the product’s direction and the company’s ultimate culture.
• Tackle deep technical challenges in private market infrastructure, turning fragmented, stale data into real-time, institutional-grade trading and pricing tools.
• Experience a unique  AGI-pilled  environment where you are encouraged to max out parallel agent management to accelerate development and product delivery.

• Own and build end-to-end product features, from the underlying data infrastructure to the sleek, intuitive interfaces relied on by institutional users.
• Collaborate closely with the small founding team to translate complex business requirements into high-performance financial infrastructure and data surfaces.
• Leverage advanced AI workflows and agent management to ship features rapidly without compromising on design quality or technical robustness.

• At least 5 years of full-stack engineering experience with a proven track record of shipping complex, user-facing products at scale.
• Strong product instincts and an exceptional eye for design, capable of building beautiful, functional features without needing a dedicated designer.
• An entrepreneurial,  AGI-pilled  mindset with high business acumen and the ability to move fast on ambiguous, cross-disciplinary problems.
