Robotics Software Engineer | C++ | Python | ROS2 (California)
We're partnering with an innovative, venture-backed Robotics company that's redefining how autonomous robotic systems operate in the real world. As they continue to scale, they're looking for a Robotics Software Engineer to help build and deploy next-generation Robotics software powering intelligent, autonomous machines.
This is a hands-on opportunity to work across the full Robotics software stack, collaborating with software, electrical and mechanical engineers to develop high-performance C++ and Python applications using ROS
2. You'll be solving complex Robotics challenges across motion control, perception, robotic manipulation, hardware integration and autonomous systems, while seeing your code deployed on real robots.
What You'll Be Doing
- Design, develop and deploy Robotics software using C++, Python and ROS
2. - Build software for autonomous Robotics, motion control, perception and robotic manipulation.
- Develop reliable, production-quality Robotics systems that operate safely on physical hardware.
- Debug complex software and hardware interactions across Robotics platforms.
- Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to rapidly prototype, test and ship new Robotics features.
- Improve system performance, reliability and scalability through testing, logging and continuous optimization.
What We're Looking For
- Strong commercial experience with C++ and Python.
- Hands-on experience developing Robotics software with ROS / ROS
2. - Experience building and deploying production Robotics or autonomous systems.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles and debugging complex systems.
- Passion for Robotics, autonomous technology and solving challenging real-world engineering problems.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative startup environment.
Nice to Have
- Motion planning or robotic manipulation.
- Computer vision, perception or scene understanding.
- Embedded Linux, Docker or containerization.
- Motor control (BLDC or stepper motors).
- CAN Bus or embedded communication protocols.
- Experience with AI-powered Robotics or autonomous systems.
