We are looking for a passionate web developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. You MUST have an eye for details, outstanding technique and a good sense of aesthetics as you will work closely with our digital designers and fashion editors. We’re looking for someone self‑motivated and looking to push the boundaries of frontend development techniques including pixel‑perfect and cross browser HTML5 slicings, a lot of UI motion, CSS and Java script frameworks.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Build cutting edge tools that will enhance the shopping experience of our customers.
- Create clean and organized HTML and CSS code from creative designs.
- Create interactive UI experiences using jQuery, JavaScript, AJAX, REST API, SASS, LESS or other CSS preprocessors.
- Implement responsive web designs and craft solutions for layout and styling issues across multiple browsers and devices.
- Work closely with the creative, design, marketing and BA teams to create state‑of‑the‑art UI.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Solve challenges with out-of-the-box thinking.
YOU:
- Have a strong ( and we seriously mean it ) eye for details.
- Have strong understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS
3. - Have strong understanding of JavaScript, its quirks, and workarounds.
- Are an excellent, creative problem solver and multi‑tasker.
- Are self‑directed, proactive, and able to define and execute projects independently.
- Are highly organized and detail oriented strong analytical and quantitative skills required.
- Are able to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Learn quickly.
REQUIERMENTS:
- 3+ years of experience with frontend development using HTML, CSS and JS.
- Experienced with CSS frameworks such as SASS and COMPASS.
- Experienced in HTML5 (Canvas/WebGL/Web Audio API/Etc).
- Experience with Shopify.
- Experience with web interface development and frameworks (Ajax, Angular, Jquery, and similar).
- Proficient understanding of cross‑browser development including mobile.
- Proven ability to stay current with best practices in front‑end development.
