As the iOS Tech Lead you’ll be responsible for the technical direction, strategy and health of our iOS platform. You’ll ensure that our technology can deliver on the business/product requirements necessary to make Pinterest successful. This means working with other leads to set and execute a long‑term strategy for iOS, aligning the strategy with other clients where it makes sense and communicating to leadership our current status and path to having a world‑class iOS platform.

You’ll also foster a healthy iOS community where all iOS engineers can learn best practices, collaborate effectively and understand our technical direction.

• Be the technical point of contact for decisions that impact the whole iOS platform and for cross‑functional partners like recruiting, business development and legal
• Develop strong partnerships with product teams to understand and proactively address future technology needs and current developer pain points
• Champion and drive large‑scale, cross‑functional initiatives that improve the iOS platform
• Leverage AI to accelerate delivery and increase overall efficiency of large scale migrations and refactoring initiatives while remaining accountable for final decisions and deliverables.
• Act as the ultimate “customer representative” for engineers on iOS including representing needs to leadership and prioritizing projects on the platform teams that ensure high quality features and a world‑class developer experience
• Scale your leadership through both direct mentorship and via best practices, processes, training and tools.
• Ensure solid technical plans are in place for projects within iOS via direct review or delegation

• Deep expertise building iOS systems at scale with modern frameworks
• Knowledge of (and a passion for) current trends and best practices in client architecture
• Track record of delivering large, cross‑functional projects across multiple organizations
• Track record for being a champion of developer velocity and feature quality
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to collaborate cross‑functionally
• Demonstrated ability to use AI to improve speed and quality in your day‑to‑day workflow for relevant outputs.
• Demonstrated ability of critical evaluation and verification of AI‑assisted work (e.g., testing, source‑checking, data validation, peer review).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience.

• This role will need to be in the office for in‑person collaboration 1-2 times every 6‑months and therefore can be situated anywhere in the country.
