Senior Firmware Engineer

My client is an innovative early-stage consumer hardware company developing next-generation wearable and connected devices. They are seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced embedded systems for cutting-edge consumer products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop firmware architecture and embedded software for battery-powered consumer devices, guiding products from concept through production.
• Design, build, and optimize real-time, low-latency systems involving sensors, audio processing, DMA, interrupts, synchronization, and concurrent processing.
• Develop firmware for wireless and Bluetooth-enabled devices, including streaming and connected-device applications.
• Optimize embedded systems for power efficiency, reliability, robustness, and overall performance.
• Support debugging, validation, testing, and product commercialization efforts throughout the development lifecycle.

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience in embedded firmware or software engineering
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ and RTOS-based systems
• Experience shipping at least one consumer wearable or audio-related consumer electronic device
• Experience developing firmware for battery powered embedded systems
• Bluetooth LE and Classic Bluetooth audio systems experience

Preferred:

• Experience with Qualcomm Snapdragon S-series platforms
• Experience with embedded audio interfaces such as I2S, PDM, TDM, or related
• Experience building low-latency audio systems
