About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a high growth company
building generative foundation models for mechanical engineering
. The company is developing AI systems capable of performing sophisticated engineering design work, going beyond traditional optimization and simulation.
The team has already shipped a groundbreaking 3D parametric CAD foundation model and is now advancing the next generation of its technology.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a high-potential new graduate or early-career engineer who wants to work on difficult technical problems alongside a highly experienced team.
As an early-career engineer, you'll join as a generalist and take ownership of well-scoped technical projects, with the opportunity to expand your scope as you demonstrate impact.
Your work may include:
- Building and maintaining geometry and data pipelines for CAD and engineering data
- Parsing CAD data, converting formats, extracting features, and validating outputs
- Developing evaluation harnesses and tooling to measure model performance
- Supporting ML training runs and experiments
- Instrumenting experiments, debugging failures, and turning results into actionable insights
- Building internal tools that improve engineering and research velocity
- Working across ML, geometry, graphics, data pipelines, evaluation, and internal infrastructure
- Taking projects from initial design through implementation and deployment
- Learning from experienced engineers and researchers while progressively taking on greater ownership
- 0–2 years of experience
, including internships and research experience - New graduates and early-career engineers are encouraged to apply
- A BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field
- Strong academic background from a highly competitive program
- Significant internship or research experience at a high-caliber technology company, engineering organization, or research lab
- Strong proficiency in Python and/or C/C++
- Comfortable working in Linux/Unix environments
- Familiarity with Git and standard software development tools
- Demonstrated ability to build and ship something beyond coursework
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Ability to take ownership of challenging problems and drive projects through completion
