Senior Software Engineer – Accounting

• Work within the Geneva Product Development organization and Geneva Fund Accounting team to develop and maintain the SS&C Geneva portfolio accounting product
• Work with product managers and QA teams to develop and maintain Geneva functionality
• Understand client requirements with Product Managers
• Help design product specifications through design iteration
• Develop new features according to product specifications using agile principles
• Maintain existing product features by fixing internally and externally reported problems
• Work on client escalations
• Collaborate with the QA team while development units or bug fixes undergo testing

• Experience with compiled, object-oriented programming languages; C++ preferred
• Experience using Linux or Unix operating system
• Experience using debugging tools in Linux, such as gdb
• Experience developing backend of enterprise software
• Experience working in or to support financial industry is strongly preferred
• Understanding of basic accounting principles is preferred
• Understanding and experience using agentic AI harness such as claude code or Codex is preferred
• Sensitivity to numbers

Demonstrates expertise in C++ programming and backend development for enterprise software, with a strong understanding of financial industry requirements and basic accounting principles.
