Own the engineering behind a payments platform that processes at least $3 billion through our platform, working alongside a small, dedicated team. We move money across banking, debit cards, Stripe, SAP, partner advances, and payroll, we run our own billing platform, and we lean on third‑party partners for most of our fintech capabilities. Much of this is integration, orchestration, and tracking work.

Consolidate and refactor a system built across many legacy integrations into something clean, reliable, and fast. Spend a lot of time directly with customers.

• Build alongside a dedicated payments team: consolidate and refactor a payments system assembled from many legacy system integrations
• Build and maintain integrations across banking, debit cards, Stripe, SAP, partner advances, payroll, and our billing platform
• Own the orchestration and tracking/reconciliation layer across our third‑party fintech partners
• Design for correctness first, because money movement demands it
• Work directly with customers to understand real‑world failure modes and edge cases
• Partner daily with product to build, ship, measure, and iterate
• Build within the laws and regulations governing payments and financial services

• Senior engineer with a strong payments background and real experience building payment systems and integrations (fintech a plus)
• Exceptionally high attention to detail; strong finance background is a plus
• Excited to be close to the build and close to customers
• Likes working on a small team and moving fast; bias toward action
• Comfortable with the regulatory landscape around payments, banking, and cards
• Uses AI tools and figures things out independently

This is a full‑commitment, full-ownership role, based in our San Francisco office. You will work very closely with the CEO, in office five to six days a week.
