Gifting with On Me isn’t just convenient, it’s a shareable experience people love. So far in 2025, we’ve had over 40% month over month growth, every month! We’re at the start of a hockey-stick growth curve, and we need a talented engineer to help build out our infrastructure for massive scale.

In 2026, we’ll be refining our gifting experience to create an even more magical moments for our users. We’re also seeing rising demand from corporate clients and need someone to help build out the tools to meet this incoming need.

Job Summary

As a software engineer, you’ll work closely with our engineering team to design and scale the backend systems that power our gifting platform. You’ll be responsible for building resilient services, optimizing databases, and developingdistributed infrastructure capable of handling millions of dollars in transactions across our stack of servers, APIs, and applications. Your work will include architecting systems for high availability, performance, and security, while ensuring seamless integrations across consumer and corporate gifting experiences.

You’ll have end-to-end ownership of critical backend components, driving both product and engineering decisions that shape the future of digital gifting. Additionally, you’ll help scale our B2B bulk gifting solutions, enabling robust, enterprise-ready systems to support our corporate partners  finally, as we’re a small startup, you’ll have the opportunity to wear multiple hats.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and scale backend services that power the gifting platform.

• Build and optimize data models and queries to ensure high performance and reliability.

• Develop and maintain APIs to support web, mobile, and external integrations.

• Ensure system reliability, availability, and security across distributed services.

• Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting to maintain system health and performance.

• Collaborate with the rest of the team to deliver seamless end-to-end experiences.

• Support the growth of the corporate gifting program by building bulk gifting workflows and enterprise-ready integrations.

• Drive architectural decisions to support scaling to millions of transactions.

• Implement full stack features across our web platform and backend

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a backend or full-stack engineer.

• Strong understanding of backend fundamentals: data modeling, systems design, and distributed systems concepts.
