About the RolePeak Energy is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Analyst to support domestic and international logistics operations for energy storage systems (ESS) and equipment. This role is responsible for execution-level logistics coordination, shipment visibility, and cross-functional support to ensure on-time, compliant, and cost-effective delivery to customers and internal sites.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with international freight, U.S. domestic transportation, customs clearance, and warehouse coordination, and thrives in a fast-paced, global manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities Logistics Execution & Coordination- Coordinate international and domestic shipments (ocean, air, truck, rail) for inbound and outbound cargo.
- Work with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and warehouses to ensure smooth shipment execution.
- Analyze shipment costs across modes, lanes, and service providers to identify savings and optimize spend.
- Track shipments end-to-end and proactively resolve delays, damages, or exceptions.
- Prepare and verify shipping documents (commercial invoice, packing list, B/L, AWB, ISF, 7501, etc.).
- Support U.S. import and export activities in compliance with Customs, DOT, FMC, and other regulations.
- Assist with customs clearance, tariff classification (HTS), and duty/tax coordination.
- Ensure compliance with battery, hazardous material, and DG shipping requirements when applicable.
- Maintain accurate logistics and compliance records.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound movements with 3PL warehouses.
- Support inventory receiving, shipment scheduling, and issue resolution.
- Work closely with internal teams to align shipping plans with production and customer delivery requirements.
- Partner with supply chain, manufacturing, sales, and finance teams to support order fulfillment.
- Provide logistics status updates and support customer delivery commitments.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives for cost, lead time, and OTIF performance.
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations.
- Experience with international shipping (China–U.S. or global lanes preferred).
- Familiarity with U.S. import/export processes and logistics documentation.
- Experience working with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and 3PL warehouses.
- Bilingual (English / Mandarin) is required.
- Strong attention to detail and execution discipline.
- Strong analytical skills with Excel and Power BI.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously.
- Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, operations-driven environment.
- Experience in ESS, battery, automotive, or manufacturing industries.
- Familiarity with battery logistics, hazardous materials, or oversized cargo.
- Knowledge of ERP or logistics systems (SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, or TMS).
The salary range for this role is $100,000 – $135,000, with actual pay varying based on work location, experience, and skills.
