This position is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining motor coaches and other commercial vehicles. This position will also support service operations by sourcing parts, tools, and shop supplies expediting repair lead times.
Key Responsibilities- Inspects, diagnoses, repairs, and maintains motorcoaches, commercial and non-commercial vehicles, and other vehicles or machines as directed.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment, free from hazards and unnecessary noise which could lead to distractions from the work at hand.
- Understands and adheres to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintains compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations applicable to operations, buildings, grounds, and personnel including but not limited to EPA, OSHA, and DOT.
- Documents all repairs on work orders using shop computers and related software; accurately maintains and tracks time and attendance; works to expand knowledge and skill levels for maintenance and repairs on customer and internal vehicles.
- Demonstrates maturity and upholds ABC’s core values at all times.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Requires good organizational skills to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Experience with mechanical diagnosis and repair preferred.
- Experience with interior component repair/replacement.
- Audio/Video knowledge recommended, not required.
- Must be EPA certified in refrigerant handling or be able to pass the test within 30 days of hire.
- Clean driving record.
- CDL with passenger endorsement highly preferred (will be incentivized).
- Must be a self-starter and possess a positive attitude.
- Must have good attendance.
- Willingness to learn and be trained across multiple disciplines.
- Must be willing to travel, with possible work on weekends/overtime.
- Ability to move items weighing at least 100 pounds.
- The person in this position needs to move constantly for extended periods of time (80-100% of shift).
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors for extended periods of time.
