Job Overview
Local Delivery Driver (CDL with Hazmat) – San Francisco, CA.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 6 a.m.
-5 p.m.;
Pay: CDL A $36.00/hr, CDL B $34.00/hr.
Sign‑on bonus: $3,000 paid in two installments; referral bonus: $500. Monthly bonus potential and 401(k) with company match.
Responsibilities- Safely load, deliver, and unload compressed gas cylinders to customer locations.
- Record deliveries and pickups on load manifest and obtain customer signatures.
- Collect empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders and return them to plant or branch for refilling.
- Adhere to all Airgas safety standards (SAFECOR) and government regulations (DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, OSHA).
- Assist in warehouse or dock operations as needed.
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL with Hazmat & Airbrake endorsements.
- Current Hazmat endorsement (candidates without a current Hazmat will not be considered).
- Maintain driver’s license, medical card, and all endorsements.
- No more than two traffic convictions or two at‑fault accidents in the last three years; or no more than one conviction and one accident in the last three years.
- No driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances within the last seven years.
- Work in a drug‑free environment.
- Ability to lift 75 lb regularly and move over 125 lb with material handling equipment.
- One year of CDL driving experience in the last five years, or recent completion of trucking school within the last twelve months.
- Forklift experience.
- Additional one year of CDL experience.
