$22.00-$24.00 + Per Hour (30 hrs a week)
Schedule:
- Friday - Monday
- AM: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
- PM: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
- 5 years of safe driving history; prefer commercial driving experience
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience in fleet operations and/or precision driving.
In this role, you will monitor vehicle software systems while upholding safe operational protocols and full legal compliance. Execute specific test cases (e.g., navigating construction zones, roundabouts, heavy pedestrian traffic, etc.) and document system performance accordingly. Provide concise, high-quality verbal and written feedback on non-ideal vehicle behaviors and edge-case scenarios. Perform pre-and-post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring sensors (LiDAR, Cameras, Radar) are clean and report major operational concerns accordingly.
Work directly with Software and Hardware Engineers to troubleshoot issues identified during your shift(s).
Day to Day Operations as a Commercial Driver:
- Drive test vehicles for 4–8 hours daily on predefined routes, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections to confirm roadworthiness and address any maintenance needs.
- Conduct basic software operations to support real-time data collection.
- Accurately document observations, issues, and anomalies encountered during test runs.
- Collaborate with engineers, providing valuable feedback to enhance system performance.
- Assist with vehicle logistics, maintenance coordination, and storage.
- 5 years experienced driving prefer Uber services, Lyft, Taxi Company driver and or commercial
- Comfortable driving for extended periods (4–8 hours per day)
- No moving violations within the past 12 months, NO DUIs, or criminal record
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and strict safety guidelines
- Ability to work onsite in both Mountain View and San Francisco.
