New Accounts Representative

The client is seeking a New Accounts Representative who will be responsible for explaining to prospective and existing customers the various types of depository products and services that the Bank offers. The ideal candidate can retain knowledge gained, obtain necessary documents and verification prior to opening accounts, order checks, and assist customers in all aspects of opening, using, and closing safe-deposit boxes.

• Provide courteous and patient explanations of various types of accounts and services that the Bank provides to best accommodate customer needs.
• Establish proper identification of the new customer. Verify if the customer is eligible to open accounts with us. Consult with supervisor for approval if further approval is needed to open or refuse to open new accounts.
• Maintain a good working knowledge of the Bank's existing and new products and services offered.
• Comply with all Bank policies in handling/opening all accounts including all interest and noninterest bearing accounts and safe deposit boxes.
• Properly order checks and other related supplies for customers.
• Answer inquiries regarding interest rate, depository accounts, and other services that the Bank offers. Redirect loan inquiries to the branch loan department as appropriate.
• Filing new account reports, new/closed signatures, and new accounts documentation and information sheets.
• Promptly follow up on pending documentation and maintain all accounting logs and files.
• Perform other duties as needed and assigned by management.

• 1 year or more of experience as a New Accounts Representative at a financial institution.
• Bilingual in Mandarin and English.
• Excellent customer service and sales skills.
• Basic PC knowledge.
• Attention to detail and mathematical skills.
• Strong written, verbal and collaboration skills.
