* About the Role:*
* A well-established, highly profitable regional CPA firm is seeking a Tax Partner to specialize in California State and Local Tax (SALT). This is a direct entry partnership opportunity offering high profit-sharing potential , a strong work-life balance , and excellent benefits. The role is hybrid, allowing you to work both in-office and remotely from one of the locations listed above.

* Key Responsibilities:**
- Review and approve complex income tax, sales/use tax, franchise, and gross receipts tax returns (including multi-state projects).
- Provide independent, advanced technical tax advice to clients.
- Lead and manage client service engagements efficiently within budgeted timelines.
- Drive business development for SALT projects and maintain ongoing client relationships.
- Delegate and manage tax research and staff assignments to ensure accurate and timely deliverables.
- Recruit, train, evaluate, and retain accounting staff; participate in hiring decisions and professional development programs.
- Represent clients in governmental tax examinations as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax regulations, economic trends, and firm policies.
- Participate in practice development, quality control updates, and various firm committees to enhance operations and profitability.

* Qualifications:**
- 10–15 years of experience in public accounting with progressive responsibility in complex engagements.
- Expertise in California SALT regulations.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
- Current and valid CPA or JD license.
- Commitment to at least 40 hours of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) annually.
Proven record in client service, business development, and staff leadership.
