** Department Overview
** The Internal Audit department at Bloom has responsibility for managing the company’s Sarbanes Oxley compliance program in addition to executing audits per the annual plan approved by Bloom’s Audit Committee. The Internal Audit team is set up to be independent and objecting via oversight by the Audit Committee. Internal Audit aims to support Bloom Energy’s mission by:
* Strengthening internal controls and risk management to support strategic growth.
* Promoting compliance, transparency, and ethical practices through SOX, IT, and ESG audits.
* Driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement with data analytics and automation.
* Providing assurance to stakeholders that Bloom’s operations align with its vision for a sustainable future.
** Overview
* * Join Bloom Energy’s Internal Audit team and immerse yourself in a dynamic, hands-on learning experience. This internship offers practical exposure to audit methodology, data analytics, and critical audit areas such as SOX, IT, and Internal Audit. No prior audit experience is required—just curiosity and a willingness to learn. Throughout the program, you’ll gain insight into SOX and core audit practices, collaborate with stakeholders across diverse functions, and see firsthand how Internal Audit partners with the business to build a strong internal control environment and proactively manage risk.
** Responsibilities
* ** Support SOX audits: assist with rolling forward testing work papers for internal controls over financial reporting; participate in process walkthroughs.
* Set up controls for ESG (Environmental Social Governance) disclosure compliance
* Assist in IT audits: review system access, prepare data flow diagrams, and set up dashboards.
* Assist in executing internal audits across various business units, including operational, financial, and compliance audits.
* Utilize various tools available to perform Data Analytics and Sample testing.
* Apply audit methodology (risk assessment, planning, fieldwork, reporting) aligned with IIA standards while assisting on an operational audit.
* Communicate audit findings through reports and presentations.
* Look for opportunities to automate audit tests and create dashboards.
** Minimum Qualifications
*** Currently a student earning a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
* Must be graduating between spring 2026 and summer 2027
