A highly respected and long-established commercial real estate company in Silicon Valley is seeking a Commercial Property Accountant to join its close-knit accounting team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial real estate accountant who enjoys owning a portfolio, working closely with property managers, and building a long-term career within a stable and well-regarded organization.
The Property Accountant will be responsible for the full accounting lifecycle for a portfolio of commercial properties, partnering closely with property managers and ownership to ensure accurate financial reporting, tenant billing, and operational support. The role offers strong exposure to CAM reconciliations, tenant billing, and owner reporting within a collaborative accounting and property management team.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain general ledgers and financial records for assigned commercial properties
- Record and reconcile financial transactions including AP, AR, bank accounts, and tenant ledgers
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual property financial statements
Qualifications
- 5+ years of commercial property accounting experience
- Strong experience with CAM reconciliations and NNN lease structures
- Experience with both cash-basis and accrual accounting
- Yardi Voyager experience required
- Strong Excel skills and overall financial systems proficiency
