Become a Key Player as a Corporate AccountantYou will support the General Ledger accounting function to deliver audit‑ready close outputs and improve accounting controls across multiple entities. You will partner with finance teams and auditors to ensure timely, accurate month‑end and quarter‑end closes. This is a Hybrid role (3 days onsite in San Jose per week). This is a 6‑month contract.
Here’s How You’ll Make an Impact on the Team- Execute month‑end and quarter‑end close tasks, including journal entries and reconciliations for intercompany transactions, loan interest and dividends, prepaids and amortization, tax accruals, and treasury accounting.
- Reconcile and resolve intercompany imbalances by collaborating with finance teams across entities before each close cycle.
- Maintain and update intangible amortization schedules and record monthly amortization entries.
- Use Black Line to post journal entries, perform and certify reconciliations, and address outstanding items or documentation exceptions.
- Serve as Black Line administrator to configure workflows and manage user access for a controlled, audit‑ready close.
- Respond to audit requests by preparing supporting schedules and preserving audit evidence in the designated repository.
- Apply AI and automation tools to streamline processes involving large datasets from multiple source systems.
- Conduct monthly reviews of accruals and prepaid expenses and perform ad hoc projects and analyses as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Minimum of 6 years’ general ledger / corporate accounting experience or public accounting background.
- Thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP, including ASC 350 (goodwill and intangibles).
- Proficiency with ERP and accounting platforms such as SAP and Black Line.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience managing multi‑entity and intercompany consolidations in a global context.
- Ability to work independently, adapt in fast‑paced environments, and maintain strong attention to detail.
- CPA license or active CPA candidacy (preferred).
$61.97 – $77.46/hour
