Payroll Accounting
- Manage all aspects of payroll accounting including
- Processing timecards
- Workers' compensation and 401(k) administration
- Quarterly and year-end reporting
- New year setup and compliance
- Oversee and support AP operations including
- GCPay platform management
- Vendor payments and check runs
- Lien release
- 1099 filings and compliance
- Lead AR activities such as
- Preparation of billing packages
- Posting and reconciling bank deposits
- Handle all banking operations, including
- Daily and monthly reconciliations
- Fund transfers between accounts
- Credit card management
- Monitoring investments and liquidity
- Maintain accurate and timely financial records
- Manage job cost reporting
- Create and post adjusting journal entries
- Collaborate with external CPA firm for tax filing and compliance
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA and/or CPA preferred but not required)
- In-depth knowledge of financial controls, banking, legal, risk management, and insurance
- Prior experience working in a construction or project-based environment is strongly preferred
