Senior Associate – Audit / Assurance Armanino is a partner‑owned CPA firm that offers a collaborative environment for professional growth. This role is designed for an individual who wants to develop advanced audit skills while leading a small team of staff members.
Responsibilities- Supervise, plan, and perform audits, reviews, and compilations on client engagements.
- Lead a team of up to five staff members under the direction of a Manager and/or Partner.
- Prepare basic and moderately complex work papers, exhibit strong analytical skills, and exercise professional skepticism.
- Analyze financial statement data, draw logical conclusions, and identify potential points for improvement.
- Research and analyze pertinent client, industry, and technical matters; identify, assess, and document controls and weaknesses in client accounting systems.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback on staff work papers and maintain effective communication with engagement team and client personnel.
- Update Managers and/or Partners on job status and assurance issues in a timely manner.
- Develop an understanding of client businesses and apply relevant accounting standards and regulatory rules.
- Ensure compliance with the firm’s quality control policy and applicable GAAP/GAAS.
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of public‑accounting experience in audit or assurance.
- Experience supervising audit staff professionals.
- Demonstrated understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Engagement platform.
- Active CPA license.
- Base salary range: $76,900 – $104,700 (may vary based on skills, role, and location).
- Eligible for a discretionary long‑term financial incentive plan subject to plan participation rules.
