. As part of a planned leadership transition, the company is seeking a Controller to partner with the CFO and lead the accounting organization through this exciting chapter.

As Controller, you ll lead all accounting operations while serving as a strategic business partner to the CFO and executive leadership. You ll oversee financial reporting, internal controls, treasury, tax, and a high-performing accounting team, while helping modernize processes to support continued growth through acquisition.

This role is ideal for a confident, hands-on accounting leader who enjoys building teams, improving processes, and operating in a fast-paced construction environment.

• Lead all day-to-day accounting operations and the monthly, quarterly, and annual close.
• Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting and GAAP compliance.
• Oversee WIP reporting, job costing, backlog reporting, cash management, and construction accounting.
• Partner with the CFO on banking, bonding, audits, tax compliance, and strategic financial initiatives.
• Develop, mentor, and grow the accounting team while building bench strength for the future.
• Strengthen internal controls, streamline processes, and improve reporting capabilities.
• Support acquisition integration and help scale the finance organization alongside company growth.

• 7+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience.
• Construction, mechanical contracting, engineering, specialty trades, or project-based industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of WIP reporting, job costing, backlog analysis, and construction finance.
• Experience leading and developing accounting teams.
• ERP experience (Viewpoint/Vista preferred).
• CPA, MBA, or other advanced credentials are a plus.
• A process-oriented leader with strong business acumen, ownership mentality, and a continuous improvement mindset.
