Deposit Operations Specialist

Job Summary

A growing financial institution in San Jose, CA is seeking a Deposit Operations Specialist to support deposit account operations, payment processing, and operational improvement initiatives. This direct-hire opportunity is ideal for a banking operations professional who is detail-oriented, collaborative, and ready to take ownership in a high-impact role.

The Deposit Operations Specialist will work closely with Operations, Risk, Compliance, Treasury, and other internal teams to ensure transactions are accurate, secure, timely, and aligned with regulatory expectations. This role offers strong visibility, supportive leadership, a positive team environment, and the opportunity to help improve processes as the organization continues to grow.

• Manage and support deposit account activities for checking, savings, CDs, and other consumer and business deposit products.
• Process account maintenance requests accurately and efficiently while supporting daily operational workflows.
• Coordinate payment processing activities and ensure transactions are completed securely, accurately, and on time.
• Monitor payment exceptions, discrepancies, and operational issues, then assist with timely resolution.
• Partner with Risk, Compliance, Treasury, and Operations teams to support controls, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify process improvement opportunities that enhance productivity, accuracy, customer experience, and operational excellence.

• Salary range: $90,000 to $95,000 per year.
